B.A. Political Science, Notre Dame

Nick Marr serves as Executive Director of The Summit Academy, where he focuses on advancement and strategic planning. He also produces A View from The Summit, a newsletter sharing the life and growth of The Summit and its role within the renewal of Catholic liberal-arts education.

Mr. Marr is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at Notre Dame, he served as a constitutional-law research assistant and executive editor of The Irish Rover. He later gained advancement experience working with two national nonprofit organizations before joining The Summit.

In addition to his administrative work, Mr. Marr developed and teaches the upper-school elective Personal Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Philanthropy. The course combines wide-ranging readings from Pope Leo XIII and Tocqueville to Warren Buffett with seminar-style discussion and guest speakers, which have included a co-founder of the Hallow app and a regional bank CEO.

 He and his wife, Alexandra, reside in Fredericksburg with their son.
