Evan Williams serves as Director of Curriculum and Faculty at The Summit Academy and has been instrumental in refining the school’s curriculum, most notably through the introduction of Ørberg’s Lingua Latina, the development of a four-year Trivium cycle, and the fostering of faculty collaboration across disciplines.

Mr. Williams developed an interest in classical learning shortly after high school, prompted by his reading of David McCullough’s John Adams and its account of Adams’ classical education. He attended Hillsdale College for his undergraduate studies, earning a double major in Classical Studies and Philosophy. He later earned his master’s degree in philosophy from Marquette University, where he also had the privilege of studying under the renowned Latinist Fr. Reginald Foster, who served as the Vatican Latinist during four pontificates. He later pursued doctoral studies in philosophy at the Center for Thomistic Studies in Houston.

Mr. Williams currently teaches Latin, Mathematics, and Trivium at The Summit. He serves as faculty advisor to House Carmel and as head coach of the boys’ wrestling team.

Mr. Williams is also a lay member of the Dominican Order. He and his wife, Lauren, have five daughters.
